1940's event

Wow what a day!!! The decorations turned out amazing and the day was perfect!
We all got to meet Edgar Harrell, a survivor of the sinking of the USS Indianapolis!
I was truly amazed by his testimony and his strong trust in Christ. Also his willingness to share his story like few veterans do. And to proclaim through his story the power of God in one lone soldier.
So basically the day started off with
-Mariens Hymn
-Almighty father
-The Survivor's story
-Palms 149
- I Sing the Mighty power of God
-Pitch in potluck
-Comin' in on a wing and a prayer
-Be Like a Kettle
-Lessons we learn from WW2
-The White Cliffs of Dover
-Let's remember Pearl Harbor
-The Victory Polka
-We'll meet again
-Taps and a 21 gun salute
It was great!
Thank you Courters for opening up your home! Not only to our church but also the community. I'm sure every one enjoyed them selves.
Getting our family photo. (Sadly Mom and Joseph were sick :p)
The Courter's 1940's Duck. Pretty sweet!
 Model A: Favorite
And of course Jess' Red pick up truck. A perfect touch Jess!

Thomas' cash register put to good use.
The indoor store front finished! It turned out great.
The DUKW parked with my signal flags attached! It was fun making those!
And all our boys got to ride in the jeep.
The Choir singing "I sing the mighty power of God"
Mr. Edgar Harrell with the owner of the jeep.

Us girls singing "Comin' in on a wing and a prayer" accompanied by Mrs. Vernier
Mr. Edgar Harrell with Anna.
I think the day worked out great and I was sure glad to have been there! It was worth while, enjoyable and I never would have missed it.
Thanks a lot Courter Family!!!
