2011 Family Christmas Photos!

Okay, first I would like to say that I'm very sorry for the inconsistency in posts, but we're working on getting that fixed.

So here are some of the photos from this years Christmas photo-shoot.

Camping preparation

Last week we put up all our camp equipment to make sure we had everything for our fast approaching camping trip.

The Kitten that adopted us!

About a week ago, out of the blue, their was a kitten that we found on our property. No idea where it came from, and it stayed.

 (yes cool, but very irritating).

Deceased bug arrangement

This is an arrangement of bugs that Alyssa put together.

These are all dead bugs that the three younger ones found on the side of the road on their walk.

Our Chicken Day

A few weeks ago when butchered our 6 chickens that some friends gave us.

Dad was the one that slit the throats.

The girls did most of the eviscerating.

Ian did part of the de-feathering.

Robert's job was to bring out the chickens,

so he pulled,

and tugged.

The Lone-Oregonian

Well, well, well, I'm back again!

Just about a month ago we had a very good friend from Oregon come out for a visit.

It was actually the first time we'd seen her in over eight months!

It was such a blast! No wait, it was beyond a blast, it was something only Emily could make it be! ;)

Fort Arrow!!!

Dear Readers,

I am very sorry for the delay in this post but we have been quite busy these past few months.

May 27th 2011 our tree fort, Fort Arrow, was completed after great toil on it.

Well, the night that it was finished Thomas and I got to sleep up there, we even had the coffee maker, internet connection (therefore both of our laptops :P), and an outright good time!

From Eyesore to Tree Fort!

Well, over the past week Thomas started to pull down our lean-to and build us a tree fort!

The rest of the family has willingly pitched in where possible.

Our First Air-Soft War!

Last Friday evening (April 1st 2011) we (Thomas and I) had our first real air-soft war with some friends from church. It was the most fun ever! One of my favorite parts of it was that weplayed in the dark!

Today Poppie (my dad) gave me my "E-A-R-L-Y" birthday gift...
A spring action, full-scale, G36-C Air-soft rifle! It's a great gun, and I can't wait to play with it!

Robert's One-Man Army!

Two days ago, while playing outside, Robert grabbed the dog, her leash, and his toy shot-gun.
With these very important weapons he went off into his own little world of battles!

       Yesterday, during my English lesson I was asked to write a poem about my home. Well, I did one with a broader subject... My country!

                                               Here it is:

                            Here I stand today, on this blessed land;

                         Bought with the price of blood, here I stand!

                      Freedom to speak, to sing, to praise my Savior;

       Only by the sacrifice of others, I must treat it with proper behavior.

     Praise the Lord for placing me here, with friends and family so dear;

          To laugh, to play, to sing with those so near, if only just to hear.

                

              Living on this great and prosperous land, is a blessing grand;

                                    By His grace alone, here I stand!
